Imaginarium Science Center, Fort Myers Reviews - Write a Review

  • Visited in early December. The place is depressing and not well kept. The animals are in incredibly small, dirty cages. The prairie dogs were the most upsetting. They are kept inside, in a small enclosure with only a weak fluorescent light. Both animals looked like they had ripped their fur out and patches were visible. One appeared crazy as he yanked his water bowl back and forth along the piece of wood above their tunnels. His belly was completely naked of fur. The science exhibits looked poorly managed and dirty. The outside exhibits were very disappointing, especially the three gators kept in an incredibly cramped glass enclosure. The koi pond was alright, but that was a weak highlight of the outdoor area. Overall it was an incredibly heartbreaking sight and I would not recommend visiting until the staff prioritizes the health of their animals and maintaining a clean environment.

  • We had a nice time. Small, but informational and entertaining for children. Nice place to spend a couple of hours. We got to feed the stingrays and youth some animals. My son was happy. And the staff is great. Sonia is awesome!

  • Visited on Saturday 9/30. Took my 7 yr old daughter and had a great time. Spent about an hour and a half. Needs minor repair and some touch up paint, so what! 3D movie, virtual reality machines, reptiles, great fish tanks and plenty of cool, hands on, educational exhibits. Great time for a kid with an inquiring mind and an engaged parent.

  • This is a fantastic place for children and families. It has wild animals, an aquarium, a playing area. It is a place that opens up the mind of children. There is also a gift shop. The entry fee is 12.00 per adult and 8.00 per children over three. Oh there is a theater and it does show movies for children.

  • I dont understand why exibits are not in working order at these places. Could have been nice when it opened but run down. Alligators are in a 4x4x4 box with three, three footers stacked on each other.
