Lions Head And Signal Hill - Review
Lion’s Head is a strangely shaped hill top in Cape Town. The top of the mountain has a very peculiar shape that makes it look like a lion. The area surrounding the region is known as Signal Hill.
Signal Hill used to be very useful for monitoring the ships at the harbor. This was due to its very strategic position close to the sea. It gets its name from the fact that flags and gunfire was used on this hill to signal to anyone due to the tall vantage point it provided.
The rare vegetation and greenery make the whole area an awesome hiking spot. The Mountain itself is certainly a huge tourist attraction. It takes about an hour to reach the top of the hill and the views are simply spectacular. You can also see Robben’s Island and Table Bay from the port atop Lion’s Head.
