Hellman-ehrman Mansion Reviews & Ratings
A beautiful historic mansion on the lake surrounded by immaculate landscape. Take a tour of the well preserved home, swim at the beach, picnic on the vast green lawns or hike with the kids on the easy trails. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
I came over across the hwy from Sugar Pine Campground. I was tired, but I managed to take in the generator building. From a distance I thought the water tower was a carriage house. It looks like a simple house with a pitched style roof. I managed a distant peek, from a distance, at the circular part of the mansion. I'm going back in the spring as I believe they close for the winter.
So pretty - there was a weeding photo-shoot going on while I visited. Great place for it!
Just a great place to walk. Beautiful views of the lake. Not crowded. Great place to relax like in the days of old.
This is a really, really, interesting way to spend a couple of hours on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. A great example of old California history. The tour guides were excellent, the house is in immaculate condition, a really interesting window into how old the really rich people in the early part of the century lids. Definitely worth your time.
