Sprawling over 34 acres of virgin wooded area, the Brunner Family Forest Preserve, as the name suggests, is accessible by people of all ages. Lots of wooded trails, natural streams and a plethora of native flora and fauna await your exploration. The terrain is moderate and hence, both the younger ones and the senior citizen can make the best out of this nature tryst. The highlight of Brunner Family Forest Preserve is the old barn that is now used as a farm to rear animals like cows, sheep, goat, pig and chicken. It comprises of an apiculture area, dairy operation, farm store and a milking parlour –the farm workers will show you around their facility. There are picnic shelters and fishing pier along the Fox River.
