The park is the spiritual sibling of the blue crab Park further to the north. It combines much of the same pleasures including picnic areas, playgrounds for kids, shady Lawns, and flowering shrubs. Additionally, it also has bird watching facilities and a reading center. Apparently, this place used to be a dirty mangrove area that was reclaimed by the city and turned into a recreational space. The park belvedere is a lovely place for a walk at sunset. For decoration, instead of blue crab sculptures, it has endearing sculptures of characters known to the locals. The park is worth a quick look if you’re in the area but nothing to go out of your way for.

  • Nice public garden with important person of Cartagena. Nice view to the old City fortification and the mangrove. Garden needs to be extended, is a bit small.

  • It's great but the area isn't safe and sometimes smell bad

  • Absolutely beautiful and peaceful park in the middle of a loud and busy part of the city. I could not believe how big it is, how colorful the flowers and plant life are, and how much attention to detail it must require in order to maintain. Admission is free, and the experience is priceless.

  • It's a nice place in the middle of a busy town but not much to do here and kinda small. Some cool statues but a bit too crowded.

  • Lovely Natural Park. Family friendly.
