Right in front of the Universidad de Cartagena Campus San Agustin, this small square is a popular meeting space for the students. They don’t actually hang-out here, but it’s not unusual to see people excitedly greeting each other before moving on elsewhere. As such, this is a good place to people watch. The plaza has a monument dedicated to erstwhile rector Manuel Dávila Flowers. It also has an excellent cafe and an even better sweet shop. If you have time to hangout and some shade to stand in, it’s easy to end up spending an entire hour in this tiny space. Most people just call it the Student Square.

Plaza De Los Estudiantes Reviews & Ratings
Love the history and buildings. Great sightseeing both daytime and night. Although be prepared for the crowd to change after dark. Not a place for youngsters.
This is the Plaza right in front of University of Cartagena where Gabriel Garcia Marquez attended Law school. (He would leave and become a writer) The benches are nice and its really nice at night. The restuarant Alma is in front and a part of the plaza is used by the restaurant. Alma has happy hour so its a nice place to sit outside and have a cocktail
Lots of cool shops and coffee places. Would recommend juan valdez cafe. Great place to meet your friends and even do some work!
This is a nice place to catch one's breath amidst the hustle and bustle.
