Right in front of the Universidad de Cartagena Campus San Agustin, this small square is a popular meeting space for the students. They don’t actually hang-out here, but it’s not unusual to see people excitedly greeting each other before moving on elsewhere. As such, this is a good place to people watch. The plaza has a monument dedicated to erstwhile rector Manuel Dávila Flowers. It also has an excellent cafe and an even better sweet shop. If you have time to hangout and some shade to stand in, it’s easy to end up spending an entire hour in this tiny space. Most people just call it the Student Square.
