There probably isn’t a better place to spend an evening in Old Town than at this charming and lively plaza. Buskers and dancers all come out to play; vendors hawk more goodies than you can probably carry all by yourself; vehicular traffic is ended for the day so that the cafes, bars and restaurants can spread their tables and chairs out into the street. People watching has never been better. There are a number of important landmarks nearby too -  the house of the late Nobel Laureate Gabriel Garcia Marquez, the Cafe de la Presentacion, and the Las Bovedas shops. Also keep an out for the sculpture of the man strumming a guitar. That is Adolfo Mejía Navarro, a famous Colombian composer and musician.

  • By Car or take a taxi from outside Old Town.
  • Walk to here from inside Old Town.

  • Good place to hang out at night the square is full of small bars that over look the square

  • This is a nice square and all San Diego neighbourhood seems to be more nicer than the central area, less vendors.

  • Nice square in middle of Cartagena.

  • Great little plaza with lots of great food options. More high end than other plazas. Also filled with artisans and stalls. Beautiful street!

  • A wonderful square with lots of tourists and locals. This is one of the terrific squares that help make the walled city of Cartagena a wonderful place to stroll around. The wonderful bed and breakfast, Casa Logos is located just around the corner, and within the square is one of the finest hotels in Cartagena, the Santa Clara. There are a number of great restaurants here, including Juan del Mar, and El Balcon. Lots of street vendors, too, with great prices.
