Batería De Castillitos - Review
After a ride full of twists and turns, when you finally reach the Bateria de Castillitos, it is a revelation! Castillitos is situated at an altitude of 250 meters, and its facade was built out like an castle medieval following a historicist style with influences of eclecticism and modernism. Home to 3 large cannons, the castle was built as a military defence structure and is fairly new. While there, do explore the underground tunnels and take in the magnificent views of the coastline.

Batería De Castillitos, Cartagena Reviews
Fantastic abandoned 20th century fortification. Well worth the journey but be aware that is down a winding narrow often-single-track road. Not recommended for the faint-hearted or at the height of the summer when there may be more traffic. Great views when get there. Great fun to explore.
A breathtaking place to visit. Its totally out in the middle of nowhere. Be prepared for a for a cautious drive up to it but once you are there it's completely worth it. The old buildings are amazing to see and the views are fantastic.
Easy access drive up with limited adhoc parking. A very large site to explore freely with tunnels and abandoned buildings. The nicest battery around. Make sure you explore right to the end as on a previous visit I missed half the site! If you follow the low path you come to a tunnel and out to the end area .... Brilliant clean place for all ages to explorer
Beautiful area with lots to see. From the castle, out houses and large guns/cannons. Just a shame that don't have any public toilets around the site.
Beautiful drive with magnificent scenery. Just have to take it slowly and carefully as there us not too much room to spare if a car comes in the opposite direction. The guns were built in England in 1923 and have a range of approximately 20 miles. They are busy renovating the complex for tourists as the guns were decommissioned in about 1973 apparently. Real beasts. Well worth the trip.
