Under the category of a Pike National Forest, the Manitou Park Recreation Area on the north of the Woodland Park is a perfect destination to explore the virgin nature of Colorado. The highlight of Manitou Park Recreation Area is the Manitou Park Lake around which a 1.6 kilometre nature trail passes. Maninou Lake along with Trout Creek is perfect for fishing. A plethora of Waterfowls and songbirds can be seen around the lake. Along the trail you can explore the Lake Picnic Area and the famous stone picnic area. To explore most of the park, you can take the Centennial Trail that stretches about 6.8 kilometres and connects the Manitou Park with the Woodland Park. It is a perfect hiking and biking trail and along the way you will find the camping ground and the picnic areas too.
