  • Rich in history of a critical battle of WWII. Foundational location for the rise of monasticism and preservation of Christian history. Museum is an amazing value at only 5 Euro, covers a wide range of historical periods. The gift shop has high quality momentos.

  • Beautiful place and awesome view. If you visit this place be sure to attend the ceremony including the chant. This is an out of this world experience. Highly recommended.

  • We had a blast at Billy G restaurant, the fish, mutton, the ribs. Every dish was on point.

  • Austere, but also serene. Incredibly evocative with all the second world war associations.

  • This monastery is utterly charming and beautiful. Would recommend coming on a day with good weather as the views from and exterior of this place are an essential part of the experience. The chapel below the altar was probably my favorite chapel I have ever been to and worth the trip all on it's own.
