Giardino Bellini is the oldest garden in the city. There are portions of the garden that can be traced back to the eighteenth century. The present-day garden, however, was inaugurated in January 1883, covering an area of 72,000 sq m. It was shut down to the public in 2006 for construction purposes before being reopened again in September 2010. The garden has two symmetrical hills, with special concentric pavements for people to walk on, along with many statues, fountains and ponds.

  • We took our two young children here to enjoy some play. There is a lot of playground equipment here, spread across the park. It made for a fun outing to explore the park. Clean park. We went off season, so very quiet. Lots of beautiful and interesting trees too.

  • Relaxing place, great for walking. Beautiful trees. A lot of observation points. It also has a playground for children.

  • A very beautiful park--we didn't have much time to explore Catania so we packed our breakfast and had it at Villa Bellini. Wish we had more time to relax at the park.

  • The much needed green area at the heart of the city. Great for joggers and nature lovers

  • A great park and playground to take children. It also has a road on which they can safely ride their bikes.
