Mount Etna, Catania Reviews

  • Love Mt Etna! Caught the cable car up and then the 4WD bus. Did a walking tour. Had a great guide and great experience!

  • The most beautifull view and experience. I hired to the top. It might be quite cold and challenging. The view and the fresh Mountain air and walking on an vulcano is quite the experience. Best experience for me when travelling Sicily. If you go I recommend also visiting the city Bronte. Its a pistachio oriented Village which is also great to visit.

  • Word one of the oldest volcano since it old and active after 3000 years

  • Whether you are in Sicily or planing to visit it, this year or next year, summer or winter, please include Mount Etna in your itinerary! Explore the dramatic landscape of this volcano and it's neighboring town of Taormina and set on the stunning coastline of Sicily! You don't need to book any tour guide trip! With just a car and little road planning (google maps) you can do this by yourself enjoying your time and no rushing. On the Mount you can go up by cable car which take you through the most steep part or you can walk up by yourself (depending on how fit your feel). Cable car coast €30 per person for about 10-15min and ones your are up you can decide if you want to take a huge (personal opinion) jeep/bus (another €30)to the top or just walk up. My advice is if you are physically capable of walking by yourself just do it! You don't need to be extremely fit or training for 6 months before going there. Is not easy for everyone but slowly walking up is what you need and the view is amazing, the landscape give your the feeling like you are on different planet and there's nothing like it!!!
