Mount Etna Reviews & Ratings
A three-day weekend in Taormina, a must visit to Etna Beautiful!!! Of course, but I would rather advise you to visit Etna on the north side. The road from Milo is breathtaking with a breathtaking view of Etna and at the arrival also a quieter departure for excursions and shops
Wonderful place to visit but make sure you book tours ahead of time and check the weather forecast on the day. Try stay around the area and bring lots of layers. Weather changes quickly.
We book a 6 hours volcano tour from Etna company. It’s totally worthy. The tour guide will tell you everything about the Mt. Etna. The trip really costs you a lot of energy. Up and down. The view from the top is amazing.
What an absolutely spectacular experience! It doesn't come cheap: €30 for a return on the suspended cable car which will take you to see the most fascinating landscape ever, and close to the main volcano craters. Another €35 if you want a ride to the bottom of the main volcano crater, otherwise it's about 30 minutes walk on a good set of lungs. The experience is priceless though, the landscape is desolate and moon-like, but black. Worth doing once in your life time, and worth paying at least the €30 to use the cable car. Wear comfortable clothing for hiking, from your shoes to your t-shirr, but don't forget that it can go up to almost 3000 meters.
Another world. Take the bus ride all the way to the top it is totally worth it. You can get the tickets when you buy your pass for the cable-car. If you want to climb all the way to the top leave early in the morning because they let you climb to 3300 only in the morning. Check the weather before you go .. there is a life camera stream from the top of the mountain. Ps there are tons of food options when you get to 1900 m / the base / so don’t go crazy packing . Bring warm clothes. The weather can change really quickly.
