The Cebu Taoist temple is one of the prettiest sights of Cebu city. It was built in 1972 by the wealthy Chinese community of the city and since then has attracted a number of devotees and tourists alike. The temple stands proudly tall, at an elevation of about 900 feet from sea level. Tranquil peace engulfs you as you enter the Taoist Temple, a calm spirituality takes over the scattered mind. Try your luck with the block of wood while you’re here; drop two blocks of wood and if both the blocks are face up, you get to make a wish.

Cebu Taoist Temple, Cebu City Reviews - Write a Review

  • Exploring Chinese cultures through visiting Taoist temple which is located in Beverly Hills subdivision of Cebu City, no entrance fee required. It has nice structures and picturesque views, taking of pictures near their altar is prohibited (lets respect that). Get ready your water because you will be climbing a lot of steps.

  • Ride up to the temple is a winding road with twists and turns. You have to navigate up a some steps to get to the temple. If you are fairly fit, it shouldn't be a problem. I didn't see any accessible path. Temple is up on a hill so it gives a nice vantage of Cebu city.

  • Taoist Temple is located in Canyon Hills inside the posh Beverly Hills Subdivision in Cebu City. No entrance fee is required. One can have the option of coming in through the replica of the Great Wall or from below where devotees usually enter and climb a flight of stairs equal to that of the chapters in the Taoist scriptures.

  • The place is so amazing and the spirit of chinese culture can be felt by the visitors.

  • During a wonderful Cultural Exchange with the Seeds of Love team, they made a memorable "Kung Fu" pose
