About Kawasan Falls, Cebu City

Just 130 kilometers southwest of Cebu City and about three hours bus ride, the Kawasan Falls is located inside the mountains of Barangay Matutinao, Badian. Silver cascades of waters drop down into gorgeous freshwater pools that beckon visitors to swim and explore the surroundings further. There are two main waterfalls and they are known for their turquoise blue water basins. If you can trek a bit to the second tier of the falls, you will find yourself away from the crowds of tourists and in true company of nature. You can even rent bamboo rafts that take you right under the waterfall.

  • Stunning water. Easy to walk to Al 3 falls. They charge 200 pesos per lock which doesn't seem to worth it. Hence, just make sure you watch your bags. Good to go by yourself and with the guide. Guides are great folks and provide care and support. Admission fee per person is now 45 pesos.

  • The place is beautiful and provides a really good hike especially for those who are physically fit (long walk and climb up a set of stairs). With such a small admission fee (P20), and P200 that gives you 3 things on the menu, it's totally worth it. Just tip your tour guide for looking after you at the end of the tour. :-)

  • A wonderful site in the south of Cebu. The main falls and swimming area is a short 15 - 20 minute walk from the highway. You can join a tour group or go on a hike beside the river up to the water's source. The water is a wonderful shade of blue.

  • This is the reason why I came to the Philippines. The milky blue water is real even when it's cloudy and rainy. Sad thing is, that everything costs you. Getting close to the water fall on a bamboo float, sitting on a table there to hang out, using the restroom. Be prepared to spend money. Best time is early in the morning. Any other time in the day, it is super crowded. Be prepared to use Photoshop to get all the people out of your vacation pictures

  • Highly recommended for adventure. If you want to be satisfied of your adventure, go to the main source at third level or do canyonering and enjoy nature. The coldness of water is natural and offers you refreshment. I love it. It was my third times to be in the place but every time I went there, it seems it was my first time. Amazing.
