The ten thousand acres of national forest holds many surprises for nature lovers. Four major waterfalls in the forest and a couple of smaller waterfalls are the main attraction. There are lakes in forests with picnic shelters and fishing docks. It even has numerous hiking trails. From beginners to experienced hikers can choose whichever trail they like. Some tracks need mountain bikes while others can be covered on foot. You can also get the trail map from the office to be on the safe side. So, when you feel that waterfalls are bit crowded for your taste, escape into forest to experience solitude.

Dupont State Forest Reviews & Ratings
It is quite the experience being here. The warning say you should not Wade or climb the rocks but I dare anyone to not feel the urge to dip their feet in the water and climb up to the waterfall, just sit and listen to the roar of the water. I spent a few hours here and I would have spent a few more. The pictures are also Amazing.
I lived in this forest for 8 months way, way back in January of 2004 until September of that year. I was 15 years old and although the winter up here was rather brutal and merciless, I made some of the most important observations on my life that I ever had, some powerful experiences so for me personally I have always had a special connection with this place. Is a great place to take your kids camping or hiking or mountain biking. Some of the most beautiful views I've ever seen in my life further up in the mountains. Just incredible stuff. You'll have to explore and see for yourself. 👍
Gorgeous place for an early Fall hike. Spent over 8 hours wandering along the various trails to take in the different falls and enjoy the season. A lot of people were here, but we seldom encountered them. Would love to come back with my bike next spring!
Visited for the 7 mile hike which covers three different waterfalls. There is information center right by the parking lot. The staff at the info center is very friendly and well informed. There is restroom and water stations next to the info center. There are different options based on length of trails. You can also use your bicycle on one of the longer trails. The path to waterfalls is gravel based and not like what you will find at other hiking/trails locations.
Excellent hiking area. The waterfalls are fantastic to see and not a terribly difficult home. I would recommend taking water. You go up and down some pretty steep hills but for the most part not too difficult.
