Santuario Maria Santissima Addolorata has a rich history and the beginnings reportedly date back to 1888 when Virgin Mary appeared for the first time. On this day, the Basilica serves as an important place of worship and the first stone for the construction of the sanctuary was laid in 1890. The Church has entirely been carved in local stone and is designed in neo-Gothic style. The ornate facade, exemplarily designed exterior and each aspect of the sanctuary is worth admiring.
