Located in a temperate continental area deep inland, the city has four distinct seasons. May to August are the warmest and wettest times of the year; winter from December to February is the coldest and driest. Snowfall is common in winter. Spring and Summer are both peak season time, and families should avoid visiting in the winter off season, when many of the best attractions are closed. The temperature breakdown is as follows:
Spring (March – May): Though it may still snow in March, with night temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius, days are definitely quite pleasant starting from April, ending May on a warm note in the lower 20s
Summer (June – August): June nights are cool, and nocturnal temperatures stay cool throughout summer, not rising about 13degrees Celsius, though daytime temperatures can hit 26degrees Celsius. in July and August. The weather is wetter, but not by much.
Autumn (September – November): Temperatures can drop off sharply, falling with day time averages falling 6 degrees Celsius in September, all they way to hit 7degrees Celsius in November, when the nights are almost freezing again.
Winter (December – February): January is the coldest months, with night temperatures of -4 degrees Celsius. Daytime temperatures for the whole period hover around 3-5 degrees Celsius.
