Thoseghar lake is situated in the Kaas Plateau (at the beautiful western Ghats of Sahyadri mountain range. It is a popular picnic spot with the locals. There are plenty of Kaas trees around the lake that makes it one of the most scenic spots in the region. This place is 20 kilometers from Satara and is located at the edge of Konkan region. As you are driving down the curves climbing down from Kaas Plateau, you will come across this beautiful little lake. There is a waterfall over it which another worth-see attraction. Plan to come here in August or September when the Plateau is full of wild flowers. The place looks like a heaven on earth.
