The Cactus Garden is the largest garden of this kind in Asia. It restores a wide collection of the endangered plant species. Among the trees, majority are the local species. There are dozens of species here under different genres and the most important are the Opuntias, Ferocactus and other succulent plants which includes Agaves, Echinosereus, Columnar cacti and mammillarias. The garden was named after JS Sarkaria.
The only plants that are popular here are the rose and orchids. The cactus garden gives a different experience to the people who do not belong to this region. There are many nurseries apart from this that restore these rare plants and the most demanded ones get sold for very high prices also. There are special bees here that pollinate the cacti seeds and are known as the cactus bees. These do not have parent bees and are pollinated by birds, moths and even bats. These make their hives and stay together with the other bees within the area.
The garden has raised terrace like structures and three water bodies also. The rare plants from South America and Mexico enhance the beauty of the garden even more. The bonsai collection of this garden is also worth admiring.

Its a great collection. It was spectacular and mesmerizing to see such huge succulents and cacti in one place. Preserving so many species is a responsibility, but the management doesn't seem to care. It has not maintained the place well enough, with wrappers and bottles thrown around. I agree it is partly the responsibility of the visitors who litter the place. At the end it puts the poor plants at risk.
Unique place to visit and you will not find such bful cactus plants n variety anywhere. Greenery quite well maintained. Great place to capture pics especially the cactus with flowers. Better to go in winters else summers may b too hot for some. Not to be missed in any case.
It has more than 3,500 species of cactus, many of them endangered. It spread over 7 acres of land. It's closing time is 6PM and fee per person is 20 ruppes. It's largest of its kind in Asia. This place is having lack of care. Small ponds in this garden are filled with dirt and small plants. This place is habitant of many endangered species of cactus.
Large collection of cactus. Most of them inside room. If they showcased outside then it will be help to analyse more.
