Chapel Hill Tourism

Nestled in the Orange County, tucked between Durham and Raleigh, Chapel Hill is home to the University of North Carolina. Popular as one of the country’s best college town, Chapel Hill offers an array of educative and entertaining activities to its visitors. Be it arenas to watch a legendary game of basketball to live music venues; Chapel Hill is all about experiences.

Chapel Hill was a town with a meager population of 1000 Scottish and English immigrants and took the name from the New Hope Chapel located at the east of the settlement. The Carolina Inn which stands on the hill was the original site of the chapel. In 1819, the town was revamped to accommodate the University of North Carolina. Today, it is one of the western-most points of the research triangle and is one of the largest municipalities of North Carolina.

The downtown is dotted with attractions, museums and quirky restaurants serving authentic North American cuisine. Chic cafes, magnolia-lined campus and legacy of fine education are factors that set apart Chapel Hill tourism from the other destinations in North Carolina.

Visit Chapel Hill and treat yourself with a didactic, vibrant and legendary travel experience!
