Daniel Island named after the former Governor of the State named Robert Daniells is situated between the Cooper River and the Wando River. This island was earlier on used for cattle farming, ranching and cultivation but later on it got purchased by the Daniels Industries Ltd.
After this all efforts were taken to build a good township over here. This includes residents, schools, colleges, markets, shops and much more. As a result of this development work you will find quite a number of parks which are not only set up for entertainment purposes but also to maintain greenery on the island. This is also one reason why it has now become a popular tourist attraction where visitors find perfect places for enjoying picnics.
