This factory is located in the Downtown area of the city and specializes in producing simple and small batch spirits such as gin, rum, whiskey, vodka, etc with very simple knowledge of culinary skills. The owner namely Scott Blackwell is a trained baker and knows all techniques of cooking.
As you go inside this distillery it will feel like you are in a page of a science book. The large equipments used for distilating, refining and fermenting raw stuffs look amazing. You can also see how they are filled, wrapped, packed and branded in the same place. They also organize tasting sessions on a couple of weekdays every week.

High Wire Distilling Company Reviews & Ratings
Great experience being my first distillery. Wife and I enjoyed the tasting, tour, and relating with other visitors from the Pacific Northwest. Definitely a must stop when you’re in Charleston. Try the old fashion with the Jimmy Red Corn infusion. Unique history and smooth taste. Take something home!
Was disappointed. Stopped in yesterday while on a mini vaca. Your website states that you offer tours and tastings, but does not state it’s required.... upon arrival we were told that we could not be served because the “tour” was already filled and that we could return at 4. Very frustrating when we wanted to spend money at your distillery then not being able too. You should update your website so people do not waste their time waking in to walk back out..
My husband and I walked 20 minutes in the heat to check out this distillery. We walked in, were not greeted, I had to say hi first. He asked what we would like, I said a tour. He said the 2:00 tour was booked. Ok....can I try a tasting flight? "No, because you would need to leave in 5 min". He literally wouldn't even let us see the drink menu. I don't understand, you need to shut down the entire distillery every time a tour starts? How does that make any business sense? He said we could come back later for a tour but the whole situation and general lack of friendliness left me feeling uneasy. I know when I'm not welcome at an establishment.
Outstanding bourbon and whiskey. Whiskey flight was very reasonably priced. The staff was knowledgeable, detailing the mash bill and flavor profile of each product. Most/all the grains are from local farms, which were also identified in the tastings. Overall, quality product in a casual and inviting atmosphere. Took a few bottles home, but I will definitely be back with friends if I'm ever back in town.
Very fun experience! The tour and tasting were superb. Excellent products and knowledgeable staff. Love the variety they offer. All 8 people in our group found something to love ❤️
