  • The museum is a great value. We had a wonderful afternoon touring military and historical planes, climbing into a cockpit, and pretending to fly fighter jets. The only reason that I cannot award 5 stars is because of the heat. The facility was very warm, but the new renovations should take care of that problem. We will make another visit once the museum has moved to the new facility.

  • Seeing the actual plane that landed miraculously on Hudson River was such an amazing experience!!! Staff are wonderful and their souvenir shop is nice. The renovation will take some time so go see before they start.

  • Very Cool! Planes that range from the first flights at Kitty Hawk to the US Airways Flight 1549 that landed on the Hudson in 2009. There are hands on exhibits, like sitting in a Cessna, sitting in a jet cockpit, in a commercial plane cockpit, and even a flight simulation. Definitely worth multiple visits.

  • Had an opportunity to bring our family here during a family trip. The staff was super pleasant, and were almost as thrilled about aircraft as our excited 2 year old. Along with that, they are knowledgeable about the various aircraft in their care. There is more than one aircraft there that the staff can happily share details regarding its background

  • What a neat museum and definitely a must visit when in Charlotte! I thought I was not going to enjoy this and it looks small from the outside, however, it is a must see! The museum is in an old hangar. I was really impressed with the US Airways 1549 plane on display. This gave me goosebumps! I liked seeing the exhibit and learning more about this. Another cool part was all the period pieces and getting to see how aviation has changed throughout the years. I also like how you are able to sit tin the cockpit of a few of the planes. There is also a 3D flight simulator as well to try your luck at take off and landing. A really cool exhibit to walk thru and watch planes next door take off. Make sure to visit!!

  • I have access to a number of DC-3 aircraft for static display. This could make an interesting small theater to promote the museum & it's Mission. Has a door lower to the ground could be accessed by a ramp with hand rails for safety. Thanks, Mark
