This is an awesome Campground especially if you're going to Carowinds Park. The pull throughs are gorgeous and the folks in the campground seem to be very very nice. It seems to be centrally located and I keep saying scenes because we got there at 8 in the evening so we did not have a chance to really venture out or do anything. It was pretty close to I-77 and I-26 so if you're traveling in that region feel free to check this place out. I would definitely stay here again on travels north or south
This place is getting better every year! Our family has so much fun every time. I had some pretty low expectations going in since it's a theme park but I was blown away with how good the food is. Honestly, the brisket sandwich in Harmony Hall is as good as any brisket sandwich I've ever had. Since we live close by, the meal plan actually saves us money through the summer. Thank you Cedar Fair!
The only thing keeping me from giving the place a 5-star rating is how they treat their employees. A lot of them seem to be expected to endure harsh weather conditions on account of their job. In the heat, they stand in the sun with no fan, umbrella, or relief of any kind. I've seen a few of them pass out before and it's pretty scary when their manager comes and wonders why they fell unconscious. Other than that, the rides are really fun and the park is overall attractive. The employees are really kind, helpful, and fun. A great family vacation spot for a day of fun.
Our family went to Carowinds this summer. We bought the Fast Lane Passes and let me say... those passes were well worth the money spent! We didn't have to wait in those 1-2 hour lines. We were able to ride the rides with hardly any wait at all. We decided we would always buy the Fast Lane Passes each time we visit Carowinds. It is an expensive day but well worth it when you see the excitement & smiles on your children's face!!
We bought the platinum passes and have been to Cedar Point in Ohio, Kings Dominion in Virginia and of course Carowinds since it's so close to home. Carowinds out does the other 2 parks easily. We had a good time at all 3 parks but none match up to Carowinds. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The park is always clean. The rides are fun and we have yet had to wait a long time in line. The food is always very good and large portions. The food at Kings Dominion was not good at all. We would recommend Carowinds to everyone!
