  • This a really great park and in the summer they have many different activities and things for children as well as adults. It is safe and not a lot of craziness going on. Plus it is in a prime location with easy access to walking trails. My son loves the train at this park but I just wish the train wasn't just for looks :( other than that it is one of the best parks I've been to.

  • Definitely one of the nicest parks in the city. The walking path is very scenic and they have two awesome play areas for children. Occasionally there are music and arts festivals held here.

  • What an absolutely gorgeous park! Perfect for everything: kids, exercise, relaxing, parties. The only drawback is the sheer popularity of this park and it can be quite crowded on weekends, but still worth it.

  • Freedom Park is the quintessential city park. Places to sit, lay on the hill, a nice lake, playground, basketball courts, etc. It is a great place to go and take a walk and people watch. You will see people from all backgrounds and it is a nice mix. I have enjoyed going there for many years. It is my favorite park.

  • The best city park we have ever visited. Very beautiful trails for a casula walking and the kids playground is fantastic! Strongly recommended if you are visiting Charlotte. The park is close to downtown.
