The fort built near Luton Village was constructed during 1876-1892 and is one of the five late Victorian forts. When you visit the fort, you will see that it has a D-shaped rampart with prepared earthen gun positions for moving the arms. The ammunition stores and barrack rooms have been constructed in a way that it has been given earth covering. The fort has served various purposes such being used as a store, a transit barrack for troops en route to Europe and for educational motive. This is a great community asset and a wonderful historical landmark.

Fort Luton Reviews & Ratings
Essential historical place to visit with family and friends. Right now ready to visit. Many of us don't know how beautiful is Chatham. In my opinion Fort Luton is looking amazing, great job! I have been visiting many historical places around Medway, Is important to remember and understand history of Chatham.
Fascinating little underground museum with various unique war memorabilia pieces. Also the new sight of my company's office space!
Disabled access is not good Great place to hire if everyone is good on their feet
Staff are great, a good venue for events. I believe lots of investment is about to take place at Fort Luton, will be great to see.
I have only been there as a comedy venue in the evening. It's a cosy venue wirh a small bar selling cans of drink. The toilets are outside and very basic. The comedy nights are great value for money and very high quality. Lots of parking available on site.
