  • I have always had a special place in my heart for Chattanooga and the Choo Choo since the mid 70's. This is a great place to visit. New changes are there and more coming. Sadly the rail trolley no longer runs. What a treat it was to talk with the trolley operators over the years and hear their stories. Clarence, thank you for that last ride. You sir, were special to my whole family. I hope the Choo Choo can keep the atmosphere of the days of steam and rail. My thoughts and heart hold joy and special memories there always.

  • We stayed in one of the train car rooms. Fun idea. Location was great, within walking distance of some really nice restaurants and things to do. The room itself was not great. Immediately upon waking in we were assaulted with the smell, old human. Not pleasant and very strong. The room (half of a train car) was not very clean, think dust under the desk and in corners. Bathroom reasonably clean, but we honestly didn't want to walk around barefoot in the room. Felt some updates and much better cleaning was in order. Also, since there was another room behind us, and the beds must be in the same position at the end of the room, we got to enjoy our train car roommate snoring voraciously and sounding like he/she was in the room with us...

  • Beautiful building, beautiful lobby, very historic. The huge train is an impressive sight you can't see at any other hotel. They do a great job with anime conventions and there are plenty of excellent places to take photos in the garden. Always a pleasure to go there. The front desk staff are also very helpful.

  • The hotel was very dated, very much in need of remodeling. Not very good accommodation for people with disabilities and or wheelchairs. We went to the "Maid and Butler" dinner and show. Which turned out to be people dressing up and playing games and serving sugary drinks and desserts. It was fun but I was under the impression that we were supposed to have dinner served by people dressed up as maids and butlers. There was a lot to do and see for all ages. In general we had fun, the staff were very nice and helpful. They were great at getting us around to where ever and when ever we needed a golf cart ride.

  • Such an incredible historic place. You can smell the history! Beautiful inside and the original details have been kept. Awesome seeing the old train cars out in the back courtyard. You can even stay in one as a guest! Lots of shops and restaurants connected to the hotel.
