Chennai is home to several Burmese refugees and the Burma Bazaar is just one of the many activities carried by this community, as occupation. Located at the Parrys Corner, this Chennai attraction was set up way back in the year 1969 by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The bazaar stretches at approximately one kilometre, fringed by some 200-odd stalls on either side of it. You will find lots of imported goods here in the form of electronics, merchandise, apparels, and more.
