Little Mount - Review
Perched on this quaint hillock of Little Mount or Chinnamalai, the Little Mount Church holds high significance. It is believed to be the place where St Thomas, an apostle of Jesus lived and preached while he was in India. Later, the Portuguese built a church here in the 1551 AD for St Thomas. And there is a belief that in the year of 68A.D. the Holy Shrine originated here too.
You can take your pick, but the church makes for one mesmeric Chennai attraction. The highlight of this church remains to be a small cave with a human footprint on, that is believed to be of St Thomas. Following this belief there is a notion of him even still living in the church. One church, where the history lovers will have a great time.

Little Mount, Chennai Reviews
It a good place to visit. If you are a tourist visiting Chennai you can't miss this place. The church here offers mass in both English and the local language and it's at different times of the day, so our have no excuse not attending mass. You will see where St Thomas had to hide from his persecutors. There are people around to give you a tour of then place.
I give 5 star rating because these are places everyone should know to understand and absorb the forgotten historical facts. How many Chennaites are aware of the fact where mount road, little mount, at. Thomas mount got it's name from and why. Let's not forget the history.
Peaceful and calm place. St. Thomas stayed in this place and came to India during the time of Jesus. A serene place, if you are looking for a peaceful place this place would help you.
Spiritual place of great importance for Catholics. Calm and inspiring. Don’t miss the cave where St. Thomas used to hide. You can also see his handprint and footprint in the rock.
It is a historic place. Should go there with a good guide to explain the details. Cannot believe everything but it does allow us to know that apostle Thomas came to India without doubt. He had a message to give and he did that without fearing his martyrdom.
