Very few beaches around this part of the coast offer a view of Bay Bengal as raw as the Mahabalipuram beach. The place is not heavily crowded by tourists but you can find small boats on the sand that the fishermen take out into the bay to catch fishes early in the morning. The beach can be easily accessed from the Tiger cave- a collection of rock cut attraction with a main temple. The place is rather rustic with almost no restaurants or shops around as seen on popular beaches.

Pack a small snack and come here for a walk to see the sunrise or simply find a spot on the golden sand to admire the Bay of Bengal. Either way, the beach does cast a charm on visitors.
