The lunch buffet that we went to, disappointed us. The soup was cold for a start. But, things didn't improve afterwards. The spread was decent, but there wasn't a single stand out dish. For a Taj restaurant, we expected much more, but were severely let down. There are several cafes and pastry outlets that provide a much better experience to your taste buds than what one could get here. Its a great property with the restaurant facing the sea and providing an awesome view. Only the food leaves a lot to be desired.
It's a good option for corporate events of large group of people. It has a lot of options for indoor and outdoor games. The beach is also accessible and is private for the resort. It should be a good option for family outing as well. But need to check the pricing.
Amazing ambience, friendly service and courteous staff, great hospitality... Beautiful and mind-blowing view of sunrise. Good food, fantastic breakfast. They should give more choice in vegetarian food, in their a la card.
Well, I have been here for about 5 times - once a year. Every time we stay in the sea view or garden view cottage. But this time, unfortunately, they were booked. W We had to opt for the next level deluxe rooms with garden view. Every room has a private sit out facing the garden. All the sit outs are separated by a see-through separation. We were there with our infant and most of the guests were smoking in the sit out area which was an absolute no-no. Then we came down further and opted for a standard room (superior charm). If you are nature lover, this will not suit you. It was uncomfortably cold, the floor including the walking aisle was completely sealed from any outside air. There was no fresh air, no sound of the waves, no natural room temperature (Yes! it was 21 degrees cold though the temperature outside was 30 degrees) and most importantly no health faucet in the toilet (yuck!). It may suit foreign guests. Unable to sustain, we cut our 2 days getaway to 18 hrs. If not for these superior charm rooms, every other aspect of this property is good!
One of the best romantic and stress free hangout places in Chennai.Romantic I meant in the way which there restaurant is placed. Its an sea view restaurant and seating is in hut like structures. The food is amazing especially the sea food.Coming to the resort they have four types of stays.Premium, Deluxe, Cottage and Villa with the last one having a direct access to beach from the stay. The place has all the amenities one looks for in a resort to burst the stress.A big garden is in the center where some lovely photo shoots can be done.Rooms wise the price range is from 10-18 k each but it's worth the money when your staying here for a romantic date.I have been there for a meeting but met a friend working there who on my request guided me through the property. It is such an place to stay away from the bustling city.
