About Kynrem Falls, Cherrapunji

Kynrem Falls is a three-tiered waterfall near Cherrapunjee, situated inside the Thangkharang Park. The spectacular Kynrem Falls is one of the highest waterfalls of Meghalaya. It can either be viewed as a long shot from the viewpoints inside Thangkharang Park or as a view from the bottom from the road that connects Cherrapunji to the Bangladesh border. With a few other smaller waterfalls flowing parallel to it, the Kynrem truly is a spectacular sight during the monsoons.

  • One of the many beautiful waterfalls in Meghalaya.....one can actually see Bangladesh on the other side...the topographical differences between the Indian and Bangladeshi side are SO stark...one has to see it to believe it....while the Indian side is hilly and lush green, the Bangladeshi side is plain and one can see numerous small lakes too. The falls are also majestic ,when viewed. Best seen in June-Aug. (rainy season)

  • One of the best place here for rainy season..

  • Nice place to visit near cherapunjee. In monsoon this falls become more beautiful.

  • A breakthaking view I'd say. We experienced this on a cloudy rainy weather which added up spices to the view.

  • A huge waterfall... To be remembered.. And you can see Bangladeshi border while coming here.
