Chester Zoo Reviews & Ratings
Went again April 2019 school holidays with two grand children who loved every minute and were exhausted after their many turns around the various enclosures. Although meals are generally expensive as is the entry price (slightly more at this particular time but reduced by online booking) at this time we felt it an extremely fulfilling day.
OH WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY WE HAD. I DID THE BAT EXPERIENCE, WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE OF ANY AGE TO VISIT THIS ZOO. YOU WON'T FIND A NICER ZOO ANYWHERE.
I haven't been to Chester Zoo for at least twenty years. My brother and I had a wonderful day. Unfortunately we were late not getting there til 2.30 however we saw quite a bit. I would suggest people have a whole day there. There are plenty of places to eat, picnic area and a nature reserve. Prices are reasonable, they have recycle bins everywhere and their takeaway coffee cups are made from plant material. The animals seem to be well looked after and the enclosures are larger than I expected. I do not normally like zoos and animal parks etc. So I was pleasantly surprised. Well done Chester Zoo. Ps all the staff were very helpful. There are mobility scooters and large prams for hire. The monorail gives a good view. We will be returning soon.
The zoo was great. There is lots of info on every animal. Don't forget if you can't see them outside you might be able to see them inside. Also make sure that you wear comfortable shoes!! At some of the enclosures there can be a large group of people. Today it was at the orangutans, please be aware that everybody would like to see so be mindful of others.
This zoo is MASSIVE! I think you really need two days to comfortably get round everything. Our highlights were the sloths and the bats but there are so many wonderful things to see!
