The zoo was a wonderful experience! The exhibits here were very well done and the animals seemed extremely well cared for. The standout for me was the walk in bat cave, which I was told by the keeper is the largest in Europe. It really is an incredible experience and it's worth going to the zoo just for this. One of the smaller bats alighted into my hand, it was very cool. I was impressed with the variety of animals on offer, there was so much to see! Overall it was an excellent day out and I'd love to go again.
We attended as a group of 40 and had a fantastic time. The animals were mostly inside but the viewing areas are particularly good. Lots of animals to see and all seem well looked after with entertaining areas to live in. I'd recommend the boat trip and the train ride. Both very good. Parking is plentiful. Food was great and nice selection of drinks available. Staff were really helpful and the latern walk was a great experience but was really centred around kids.
Loving having the zoo on our doorstep! Love it every time we go! Since my little boy has been born in 2015, we've taken him dozens of times to stimulate him in new ways and get him familiar with new animals and their noises; he loves it! It's by far the best family day out in the north of England. The staff are all very approachable, the facilities have variety, and quality to match. 10/10
Best zoo I've ever visited. Massive place you will be able to past the whole day without getting bored. Food is expensive but that's expected in places like these but I didn't mind all money goes back into the care and well-being of the animals which is clearly apparent as the animals are epic. A wide variety of animal small and large. Worth the money trust me I've been to many zoos in the south east but I was in this area and always wanted to visit this zoo, I'm so happy I did the family loved it
What can you say about Chester zoo? Best in the UK. 3rd best in the world. I have no doubts about those awards. Always a great day. Food has improved over the last few years and now the choice and quality is what is deserved of such a great attraction. Only complaint is the monorail is not free. Would recommend this attraction to any one any age. 1st class.
