    Answer Report Abuse
    • The criteria for renting a car in Thailand is said to be in a grey area as the rules are a little unclear. But, it is ideal to have an International Drivers Permit. The minimum age is usually set to 21 years and you must sign a car rental contract. If you want to drop off the car at a different location, then you need to specify it before renting. Almost all the rental companies allow drop off locations to be different than that of pick up location and some may charge a small fee for it as well.
