Built in 1453, Wat Ched Yot is a Buddhist temple set amidst peaceful green surroundings. Based on the architecture of the Indian Mahabodhi temple, Wat Ched Yot has seven spires that signify the seven weeks Buddha spent in Bodhgaya where he found enlightenment. The temple has a unique and elegant appearance due to the mix of Chinese, Lao, Thai and Indian influences. While the temple roof can be visited only by male visitors, the decorated base of the pagoda is Lanna art masterpiece worth watching.
