Friendly staff and loved the space. Food was good but portions were WAY TOO MUCH. Food was heavy on the oil. I ordered the salmon wok out. It was delicious. Dropped one star for portion size and too much oil.
Doc B's is good. My opinion is that it is pretty hohum and a little overpriced. However for the neighborhood it's a pretty good option. There are plenty of "heathy" options and good salads. Thy also have a decent beer and wine menu.
Good food and bar, we go to the Walton St. location (cozier), but there is another on Grand. Great breakfasts, lunch and dinner, Happy Hour too. Reasonable prices which is hard in downtown Chicago.
The food here is truly amazing. The field green salad is to die for thanks to the lime vinaigrette. Highly recommend!
We visited Doc B's on November 17. We had reservations for an 11:45 lunch while shopping the Magnificent Mile. We were seated quickly and our server was helpful, speedy and polite. The Bloody Mary I ordered was very well made and the spices perfect. My wife ordered the Carnitas sandwich with sweet potato fries. The carnitas were cooked perfectly and the sweet potato fries were crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. Topped with kosher salt, it was great. I had the Wok Bowl with chicken and sticky brown rice. The vegetables were cooked just right and the chicken was very delicious. I also had the cucumber salad with onions and radish which was phenomenal. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff were happy and talkative.
