We had goat, goat and duck at Duck Duck Goat. Started with the goat and duck skin spring rolls, then had the green beans with black bean sauce and wrapped things up with the forbidden goat fried rice. All were excellent but the green beans were the stars of the show. Amazing flavor and just a bit of spice. The spring rolls were delicious and I wish I could make rice liked the forbidden goat fried rice. Service was excellent, kept our beverages full and kept the food coming right as we finished each dish. The ambience was quirky and fun. At the end of the meal we got an almond cookie which took me back to the Chinese restaurant my parents took me to when I was a little kid. All in all, one of the best meals I had in Chicago or anywhere.
Because of the Goat logo you already know you're in for a good time. I went a bit crazy on the menu when I came in, but it was all for a good cause. Top favorites were the Duck and Goat Fried Rice, Shrimp Toast and the Pot Stickers. Everything was very well balanced and brimming with flavor. Only thing I would not recommend were the flat noodles. Just a bit vinegary for my tastes, but that might be right up your alley.
Absolutely wonderful service. The duck hearts were perfectly tender. Every course was set out at the perfect time and our waitress was more than accommodating. Would recommend to any out of town visitors.
Had a great time. We had one of the private rooms for a friend's party and it was perfect. Our waiter was awesome and attentive but let us have our space to enjoy each other's company. The waiting room... I wish it was bigger so you could actually get to the bar. Still a fun place!
Absolutely fantastic, First off after intros before asking anything else our Server "Major" asked if anyone had any food allergies, and after confirming a family members allergies would not be a problem, our server proceeded to make multiple great suggestions that we went with and I couldn't be happier with the selection of tastes. All the items we ordered were brought out in a orderly fashion allowing us to eat peacefully. Lastly I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend the crab Rangoons are amazing and the sauce they came with... To die for. You owe it to yourself to come here seriously.
