Flamingo Sculpture is actually a 53 foot long stabile situated in one of the most frequented areas of Chicago. Located in front of Kluczynski Federal Building, this bright sculpture is definitely a cure to the sore eye. The sculpture by itself is a piece of art but is also enhanced by the steel and glass surroundings that protect it. It was created by Alexander Calder, a well noted artist of the time. It was opened in the year 1974 and is available for the passers-by at all times of the day. It is a must visit attraction in Chicago for the sheer vibrancy and art that has gone behind recreating the beautiful positioning of a flamingo.

Flamingo Reviews & Ratings
ICONIC. We stayed at a hotel right next door so we saw it everyday. Love the courtyard, there was a farmers market one day. Great to sit and people watch.
I am an amateur photographer. This picture taken by me is one of my favorite work thanks to the flamingo statue. Always trying to find a good angle to do it.
It’s a nice exhibit. Good place to sit and relax. Not heavily occupied usually. Looks great.
Bigger than I thought it would be. Nice to see the sculptures throughout the city.
This place is for people who have an eye for art and people who like to relax. Many people go there to do work or just to hang out. Although it gets packed you can still relax. There are many ways to get there but the best option is to go by bus in my opinion. For people that like to be alone and think this place is not for you.. you might get distracted by the noise or the people walking.
