  • We have come to this place a few times. Previous trips were fun and enjoyable. My family usually had a good time. This visit was destined to be the last. We took a trip on a Wednesday night. We were seated outside and had less than a 15 minute wait. We had our drinks and food ordered at the same time. We waited 20+ minutes for our drinks to come out. The first thing that did come out was our food. We sent the food back and told the server we were leaving. When we asked the hostess to speak to a manager we saw our drinks come out and told our waitress we were leaving. We still asked us for a manager and the hostess proceed to tell us she didn't care about our issues and that she just "sat the people". Tom the manager came out and asked us what was going on, gave him a run down of what was going on. He said he was piecing the stories together from both the bartender and our waitress but said what happened was unacceptable. He was very apologetic and took care of a few things for us. Needless to say what I thought was going to be the last trip to the Margaritaville at Navy Pier may not be the last.

  • First and last time dining here. We were sat at the bar because there were no tables, not sure how that was possible because the outside seating area and the inside area was almost empty. Fine, not a big deal. But this is where we began to have problems. The bartender, Megan, approached us only once and that was to take our drink order and food order. We were never given silverware, napkins, or water. She finally offered it when we're almost done with our food. We asked for our check and left. Two stars for the food because it was actually pretty good, but the service definitely doesn't deserve one.

  • The worst service I ever had a in a restaurant. First, we had to wait 15 minutes for the host, because she was cleaning the tables instead of hosting us. She saw us and another family waiting, but she did not care! After that, we sat and ordered, and after AN HOUR we still did not have our food! We ordered a burger and nachos, when asked about it, the waitress said the burger takes time! Which I found really offending, I don't like to be lied to, it is just a burger and everybody knows it doesn't take an hour to be ready! Then the manager came and apologized and said our food was taken to another table by mistake and that's why it took long! Which I think was another lie! Because when they brought our food at last the burger was completely cold, so it seems it was just left on the counter and our waitress has forgotten to bring it! The manager gave us a 7 dollar discount for the mistake, which was a nice gesture, but couldn't give us back our time. We had just 3-4 hours to sight-see Chicago, and we lost almost two hours in this restaurant! Worst service ever!

  • Excellent drink and food options but the wait for food is long. I suggest getting appetizer and making sure you have some time as to not rush. Staff is very friendly and attentive.

  • If I only have a chance not to give a star, I totally would. Here is our take out experience with Megan ( bartender) today. Day started out just great, my family on the boat and we stopped to get some food take out. The choice fell on Margaritaville located on Navy Pier, Chicago. We entered to order food at the bar, bartender took our order within a minute (maybe this is only why my review has 1 star). The frustration started when Megan brought me change with $5 short. I had a question to ask, but I thought, ok maybe this is fee for take out orders?!! I ordered a kids meal, she didn't even ask me what side we want, she put French fries with no options for us. How about upsell or offer any options? Also, kids meal went with a drink, she said no it doesn't, but menu clearly said so. Finally our order came (she switched kids fries for green beans). I asked for ketchup to go since some meals had fries. Bartender gave me a whole container of ketchup. So I didn't hesitate to double check, so we can take this ketchup to go? Her answer was: "No, we don't have to go ketchup, go to McDonald's across from us". I was stunned. Then I asked her again for a kid drink to go. Here I couldn't believe my eyes, she gives me a plastic cup with no lid, cup says "Miller Lite", ice and two straws (my daughter is 2 years). 👎🏼 So long story short, Megan is absolute careless bartender, she was rude and unprofessional. Hope this review will help some people when they will decide to visit this place. This place is not worth your money! There are many other restaurants to choose from. And last but not least, I was very upset I didn't even asked for my $5 back. If everything went well, she would definitely got a better tip.
