  • Touristy & busy but nice views! We came here for an art show and the place was crazy with many families w/children ( most inside eating @ fast food places). It was nice to stroll along the pier to appreciate the views and watch the boats come & go. There are plenty of places to eat outdoors and areas just to sit & relax. Expect it to be very busy with lots of kids not a lot to do for adults.....ferris wheel , boat tours many restaurants, children's museum & some shops.

  • Great place to visit, lots of places to shop at or dine at. Good amount of things to do, able to explore for hours. I can't really say anything bad about this place other than that you'll pay for the experience if you buy anything there, but that's to be expected. This place is expansive and exciting; there's nothing else to say.

  • Navy Pier is a great place for spending time by the water, taking visitors, and taking your kids. In the Winter they have different programs and indoor activities. There's a stain glass museum, a fun house, shops, tons and tons of restaurants and the Chicago Children's Museum. When it's nice out the boardwalk is lovely, there are several outdoor spaces to relax at, there is the Ferris wheel, carasoul, and other rides. They are also building a park with a water feature this year. We love just walking around Navy Pier watching the boats. There is also a beautiful indoor observatory. It's very quiet and relaxing to sit and watch the jumping water features. In the summer they open large glass doors and it leads right out to the rides.

  • As we headed out from the Millennium Park, walking along the shorelines of Lake Michigan, we made our way to the Navy Pier. I loved the yacht and the other boats anchored along the shorelines. Wow! The view from here is really refreshing - with the skyscrapers along the shorelines and the chilly winds breezing against your face, WOW!! It is a sight to see the water boats sail through. The Navy Pier Children Museum is a must visit - there are hoards of people out there, and me being the typical Indian, it is indeed brightening to see such a crowd. There are loads and loads of shops, eateries lined up inside. There is this Richard Heus Stained glass painting gallery which is an interesting stop by - to see the pieces of art. The room was darkened a little to enhance the beauty of the glass paintings. The giant wheel - Ferris Wheel is iconic and adds an aura to the picturesque view. It is about 45 m high. The Navy Pier is a recreational facility located on shoreline of Lake Michigan. It has parks, garden, play area , shops and loads of restaurants. Nice place to spend the evening by - watching the city lighten up. Do opt for the Shoreline classic lake tour - the best 40 minutes to view the entire city of Chicago and the lake Michigan. The ride through the boat is entertaining with the continuous commentary and the anchor keeps the riders quite enthralled. Cheers to life!! ~Journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step! :)
