Plenty of little shops and food areas to go to. The view of the Chicago River. You can go on the Sea Dog boats which give you both a tour and a fun ride! There are plenty of attractions, such as the ferris wheel. You can get a beautiful view of the city on the Ferris Wheel. At night you can watch the whole city glow with it's lights, which is absolutely beautiful. Overall going to Navy Pier is a great experience for the family!
Navy Pier is a wonderful place to spend the day walking the pier, taking a boat tour, riding bikes, or kicking back & relaxing to listen to a live band. It's also a short walk to view the famous Aqua Towers & Condos building with it's wavy, unusual facade. We had a lot of fun. :) Edited: To include a photograph of The Aqua Towers & it's unusual wavy facade taken on the River Walk portion of Navy Pier.
The weather was excellent, which made it all good. If you like walking, looking at a beautiful huge lake, good food, and a big ferris wheel, this is the place for you. There are boat tours available, and if you've never seen Chicago, there's a Big Bus tour stop nearby where you can ride up top and see the sights. Not in winter, though. :-)
There are many things to do, and the food ranges from barbecue to cheeseburgers. Everything is a good price. Great view of Lake Michigan! It is a recommended spot for families or large groups of friends!
If you want a place with lots of unique options for food, it's a good place to go. They have some chains here but most places are local which makes it a nice stop to expand your horizons. The Ferris wheel and indoor garden are cool to. Really just alot to see. Just wear good walking shoes.
