At the time of it’s building, it was the largest pier in the world, but that was almost a century ago. Over the decades, the pier saw multiple increases and delines in its popularity, till it was completely revived in the nineties. Today, it draws in over eight million vistors annually, as it well should. There’s always something to do regardless of the weather or season. It’s Ferris Wheel is famous; the Aeroaloon will float you upto a hundred metres off the ground; there's a miniature golf course, a maze, a beer gardens, and of course, the beautiful Crystal Gardens.

This is a fun place to spend family time or bring out of town guests. The view is great and there's a variety of restaurants. Plus fireworks during the summer on Wednesdays 9pm and Saturdays 10pm. The maze is fun and so are the rides as long as the weather cooperates. The restaurants aren't cheap but the boat tours are amazing for photos of the city and the pier.
Navy Pier is a wonderful place to spend the day walking the pier, taking a boat tour, riding bikes, or just relaxing to listen to a live band. It's also a short walk to view the famous Aqua Towers & Condos building with it's wavy, unusual facade. We had a lot of fun. :)
This pier is a Must See, if anyone is in the Chicago area. Although there aren't many activities on the top of the pier, the scenery is amazing. The ground level at the front entrance is the main part, besides the walk; there are many different restaurants including both dine-in and fast food. Aside from food on the ground level people will come across many stores mainly for tourist attraction. Great place for the family, and being on vacation to see the lake. There are lots of people, making some areas crowded, and parking can be both hefty and expensive. Although that is a bad part, the good parts of this pier make up earning it a 5 star and a must go see on my personal list of attractions.
Very dissapointed. Not sure what I expected, but this turned out to be a giant shopping mall; not my idea of a good time. Views were nice, Mirror maze was fun, and the swings were cool - just expected way more rides and fun activities for the family. I have heard the Children's museum is great; wish we could have tried it out - it's probably worth the trip alone for younger kids.
There is a lot to do here. You also have a good selection of food options. The view of the lake is amazing. Definitely a place to go when you are in Chicago.
