I was accompanying my colleagues who really wanted to try the Nutella Cafe in Chicago the other day so I came with. It might be strange to say but as well as I like it, I’m not a huge fan of the product but “why not” was pretty much my mindset. After a 15 minutes queue in the wind, we finally made it inside. It’s smaller than I thought it would be but very cosy and clean, I like the reassuring chocolate smell that reminded me of my childhood and the open kitchen that allows you to see everything. The menu is rather wide but sadly, I didn’t feel like anything in particular was catching my attention or whatsoever. I randomly went for the french croissant filled with Nutella, which came with barely edible strawberries... Besides that, I mean, there isn’t much more to expect, it’s a famous brand cafe that sells a product we all know, that is pretty much it and I’m glad I went for the experience. Will I come back? Probably not.
I was visiting Chicago and happened to pass by a long line of people waiting to enter the Nutella Cafe. Curiosity got the best of me and I too joined the 30 minute wait. Was it worth it? I would say to just say I've been there, but I have no reason to come back. The decor is nice and who doesn't love Nutella? The service was fine, but the food was o-k. I ordered a croissant french toast, but it honestly seem like just a plain croissant with a touch of Nutella. I think you are better off making something similar at home or just buying a jar at the grocery store.
Our food was delicious. I would recommend creating a more diverse menu. I felt options were limited. Customer service was good. I felt the Supervisor felt very comfortable at this place. He was kind of loud.
Wow what a huge disappointment. The food was okay, but nothing special. I finished my meal and we were still waiting on my wife's waffle. We'd been watching a waffle go cold on the counter while staff stood idly by, joking around. Finally she went up to ask about the rest of our order and she got the cold waffle. I counted at least 15 staff members and most of them looked absolutely miserable working here. We were offered a bunch of other people's food even though they give you a tracker. What a mess and it wasn't even that busy. Just buy a jar of Nutella and stay home.
Was great if your a die hard Nutella fan. Was beyond difficult finding parking anywhere, I was dropped off to go stand in line. There was a security guard outside, super nice, who had me form a line outside until some people exited from inside. Then I had to stand in another line inside. Very cute place, wish it had way more seating though. Once I ordered and found a place to sit (about an hour total) my family found parking and joined me. Everything we ordered was good. Had Nutella French toast, pancake, sandwich and Nutella strawberry crepe.
