Rockefeller, the name in itself spells performing arts. This memorial chapel is also known for the wide variety of performances and events that keep happening here. The two chapels host various artists performing and boasts of a whooping roughly 50 events a week. It was designed by the famous architect of the 20th century- Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue. The architecture was finally completed in the year 1928 and is one of the best gifts ever given to the university of Chicago. Try to catch a performance here just for the complete feels of the architecture and to experience the vibrancy of the Chapel.

Rockefeller Chapel Reviews & Ratings
We got married at Rockefeller Chapel and it was absolutely perfect! Angela and Mike were great as coordinators; Angela helped us work out a lot of our wedding details and really helped us make the space and ceremony our own. Tom, the organist, was very open to the new and unique songs we requested that he play during our ceremony, and the bells sounded beautiful. It was quite hot the day of our wedding (96 degrees!) and the chapel has no A/C, but the wedding party stayed cool in the A/C in the bridal suite downstairs, and Angela made sure there were plenty of fans going inside the Chapel and that guests knew where to find water. It was so awesome to have our wedding at Rockefeller – we highly recommend it!
The Rockefeller Memorial Chapel is a great visit whether you are a tourist or a Chicago native. The chapel is a magnificent structure with beautiful stain glass and design. On Sunday afternoons, you can climb the 271 steps to the top of the carillon tower, where you can see bells that are the size of a car to the size of a gear shift knob. The services are lovely, and there are often amazing guest speakers or musicians- check the schedule
I've always loved coming here.Great decorations inside. The lavender garden is beautiful as are the many wood and stone carvings and the intricate ceiling. Beautiful place
Great chapel build in a Gothic style with a fantastic organ.
The majestic Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, at 200 feet, is the tallest building at the University of Chicago. The lavender garden is beautiful as are the many wood and stone carvings and the intricate ceiling. Come hear one of the largest carillons in the world. One of the best times to see the Rockefeller Chapel is the one weekend in October each year when it is open to the Chicago Architectural Foundation's Open House Chicago. Amazing.
