Definitely a big waste of time. The tour guide showed up early to let us know that the bus broke down and would arrive a little later than expected. Half an hour later, a SCHOOL BUS shows up. Despite starting late, we still ended on time. Stories aren't extremely interesting and the trip wasn't worth the price I paid. Everything the guide said was repetitive and it just wasn't worth it overall. Really drawn out.
Way too long, unnecessary time on the bus, a couple of interesting stories but they dragged on and on. This tour should be an hour or two tops, not three. It was really disappointing the night before Halloween. The tour guide was well memorized but didn't seem knowledgeable. She didn't read the crowd well--nobody seemed interested. Other than the hotel and river stops, nothing was interesting about the physical locations we visited. I would not recommend this tour at all. Waste of three hours in Chicago!
Booked a tour and they text us the day before and had to cancel due to bus broke down.. They offeref a different day or a refund.. We requested a refund.. We have made several phone calls, text messages and even emails. It's been 2 weeks and we have gotten no reply or no refund.. Bad business ethics. Will not book another trip through them. Only gave them one star because I had to to post this.
ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK! The staff here is incredibly arrogant and non-responsive. We had scheduling conflict and gave a weeks notice that we could not attend their tour and never heard back from them about a refund, in spite of two emails and a phone call. We even used their suggested email they sent out in the event we needed to cancel so they could fill the slots. When we did hear back, after a week and threat of a bad review, it was a pointed message basically telling us to "do our worst" in retaliation for not getting our money back. They don't care. This was my second interaction with them. The tour is cliche and predictable any way. I only gave one star because they made me pick at least one star to post this.
I went on the Crime Tour, and it literally consisted of "Here's a park," "Here's a parking lot," and "Here's a shady area beneath a busy bridge." I had high hopes for this tour and they really let me down hard. My tour guide was Eric, and his facts were filled with fluff. A lot of the information was repetitive and the rest was just unnecessary and awkward eye contact. Perhaps the other themed tours are better, but the Crime Tour is severely lacking. Save your money and do something else!
