For the tourists who are not aware of the history of Chittorgarh, this fort might come across as just beautifully preserved ruins. However, the ones who are aware would know that this is one of the sites that have defined the Rajputana pride and valour in India. The city as well as the fort are so well woven in the history of Rajasthan that there have been many tales and ballads that testify their glory. Chittorgarh Fort is an expansive fort built on the hilltop and is one of the most beautiful forts in India. Covering an area of 700 acres, this fort is actually a complex that houses many other royal structures and temples inside such as Kumbha Palace, Sringar Chauri, Fateh Prakash Palace, Kirti stambha and many others. Connecting all these points within the fort is the serpentine road which is quite steep and exhaustive to walk. In order to enter this fort, you will have to cross through seven huge gateways or 'pols', guarded by watch tower and massive iron spiked doors.

Let’s walk through a 5-step process for building a paragraph. For each step there is an explanation and example. Our example paragraph will be about slave spirituals, the original songs that African Americans created during slavery. The model paragraph uses illustration (giving examples) to prove its point. Step 1. Decide on a controlling idea and create a topic sentence Paragraph development begins with the formulation of the controlling idea. This idea directs the paragraph’s development. Often, the controlling idea of a paragraph will appear in the form of a topic sentence. In some cases, you may need more than one sentence to express a paragraph’s controlling idea. Here is the controlling idea for our “model paragraph,” expressed in a topic sentence: Model controlling idea and topic sentence — Slave spirituals often had hidden double meanings. Step 2. Explain the controlling idea Paragraph development continues with an expression of the rationale or the explanation that the writer gives for how the reader should interpret the information presented in the idea statement or topic sentence of the paragraph. The writer explains his/her thinking about the main topic, idea, or focus of the paragraph. Here’s the sentence that would follow the controlling idea about slave spirituals: Model explanation — On one level, spirituals referenced heaven, Jesus, and the soul; but on another level, the songs spoke about slave resistance.
It's really big. There are lot of places to visit within the fort walls. It's recommended to have a vehicle band probably take a guide. Nice place to spend a day with your family.
The biggest and also I believe the most impregnable fort in India. It's in the shape of a whale fish, built atop a mountain plateau. With a history of over 1400 years, and designed as a city inside a fort, it is best toured with a guide who knows it's significance. It needs at least 5 hours to go through completely, that too when you have a vehicle. It's way too big for a walk around.
A best historical place to visit, observe and feel... Most of the palace is destroyed but still the remaining has its own charm... Some places over there can give you goosebumps.. sunrise and sunset has its own beauty over there.. preferred time to visit the fort is Early morning or the late evening...
