About Padmini Palace, Chittorgarh

Located inside the premises of Chittorgarh Palace, the Padmini’s Palace is perhaps the most famous and most visited site. Considered to be the residence of Queen Padmini, this palace exhibits beautiful architecture and splendour. According to the local beliefs, this is the same palace where Sultan Alauddin Khilji view the reflection of the beautiful Rani Padmini in a mirror located in the main hall of palace. He was so much taken aback by her beauty that he decided to conquer Chittorgarh as a result. Due to this conquer, Rani Padmini decided to opt for jauhar, an act in which the royal women chose to immolate themselves rather than becoming the victims of outsider men.

  • The restaurant serves good food and that to prompt service is a pleasure! The space is a bit cramped and thus some may find it suffocating. Location per say its quite easy to locate through Google Maps. Consider the hotel as a decent crash pad in case your are only looking for quick stay and not a luxurious experience.

  • Talking about restaurant, it was very bad experience there. Food was very much oily and conjested space without any stairs to enter or exit only a small lift with 4 person capacity, and also the restaurant is on 5th floor.

  • Foul smell, toilet stinks, u can't stretch your arms, rooms are very very small the restaurant is very expensive like a 5star hotel. One plate idli is 190. No ventilation in any rooms.

  • Nothing great. Recommended by the driver for a quick thali. It could have been much better for the price. I didn't like anything much in there. Purely functional food

  • Good location, average room. Staff cordial and helpful. Food is also average.
