Located within the complex of the imposing Chittorgarh Fort, the Vijay Stambh or the Tower of Victory was built by Maharana Kumbha to immortalize his victory over the Muslim invader Mahmud Khilji’s army. Dating back to 1440-1448 A.D. the magnanimous architectural digest is built with red sandstone and white marble and boasts of its nine storeys adorned with sculptures of Hindu deities. It is dedicated to lord Vishnu. There are inscriptions about the rulers of Chittor, the names of the architect and his three sons who assisted him. Take the narrow steps to the terrace to catch the breathtaking vistas of the entire town and the fort.

The Vijaya Stambha is an imposing victory monument located within Chittorgarh fort. The tower was constructed by the Mewar king, Rana Kumbha, in 1448 to commemorate his victory over the combined armies of Malwa and Gujarat. The height of the tower is 122 feet. It has 9 floors. While Vijaya Stambha is its common name, it is also known as Kirti Stambha, a "tower of fame".

Vijay Stambha is a 9 storey tower with a height of 37 meters. to reach the top floor, you have to climb 157 steps on the narrow stairs. Made with red sand stone and white marble, this tower has a balcony in each storey. Vijay stambha in hindi means victory tower. This tower was constructed by Mewar king Rana Kumbha in 1448. it commemorate his victory over the combined armies of Malwa and Gujarat led by Mahmud Khilji. The tower is dedicated to the hindu God Vishnu. On the tower there are carvings of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. The top most storey features an image of the Jain Goddess, Padmavati from the top of tower there is a great view of chittorgarh city.
