Air Force Museum Of New Zealand, Christchurch Reviews
I have given a 5 star as the place was very clean and everything was placed well that it did not create a back up in movement around the displays. Items are well lit to take photos and easy access. Found the gift store reasonably priced and organized. Recommend giving place a visit and honour our fallen.
Great free outing with the kids. It's a museum, allow an hour or maybe two for younger children, but for those interested in the lovingly restored exhibits it's a fascinating place. Wear a jumper on cold days... the hanger can be chilly!
The free tour is excellent letting you go to restricted areas to see what is going on. Plenty of cockpits to clime in for kids and some interactive things like the mosquito simulator. Some very informative displays too
Unbelievable, so much there and free! we spent a good few hours wandering around the exhibits,so interesting and the volunteers who man the museum are so interesting, we actually was speaking to the son of a pilot who's plane engine is an exhibit. the Anne frank section was hard breaking, so informative.
A free museum of New Zealand Air force history. Good displays, interactive activities and aircraft all in enclosed hangar spaces. Knowledgeable guides always on hand. Great little cafe serving a variety of food suitable for lunch or morning / afternoon teas.
