Orana Wildlife Park, Christchurch Reviews - Write a Review

  • Amazing zoo! Beautiful environment and a variety of different animals. Feeding a girrafe is a must do ! It is a big place but the shuttle bus is always available.

  • Awesome wildlife park. Access is reasonable, however the park is huge, so be aware there is a lot of travel. There is limited cover in the park and due to Canterbury's harsh summers, it can get very hot! likewise, it is probably not great in the rain. There is accessible bathrooms with plenty of room.

  • A good zoo where you feel the animals are given as fair a deal as they can with big open enclosures. This does mean a lot of walking in the day however so be prepared for that and perhaps take the bus provided. Also if you look online and plan your day around the animal events you'll get a lot more out of it!

  • Great day, lots of things to see, very enjoyable. I actually happen to have hayfever that day, and inquiring if they sold anything to help it, a lady gave me a antihistamine from her own possession, no compensation required. So what I'm really saying is, they have exceptionally friendly staff. Recommend Highly.

  • A very disappointing visit considering the $35 price for an adult. Many enclosures were empty and some of the enclosures are too far away from the path to actually get a good view of the animals. Overall layout is also awkward and signage could be improved. Felt more like a construction site to be honest. Animals also didn't look too happy.
