Fountain Square - Review

This is the most important town square of the city. The place is probably the busiest out of all as it is the center of all activities of everyone. The place is filled with shops, restaurants, offices, clubs and much more. Initially before this place was set up in this way, there was first an Indian mound and later a butcher’s market that was replaced to form this.

The name is so given due to the presence of the beautiful fountain that has been dedicated to David Tyler. The fountain is the main attraction here as well as an important landmark of the city. This is called The Genius of water. It looks like Jesus spreading his arms if we look the other way round. The fountain is completely coated with bronze imported from Munich and is still as attractive as it was earlier on.

  • Cincinnati's Fountain Square in Downtown is a wonderful place to meet! There are so many events held on the square alongside the Iconic Tyler Davidson Fountain! They have family events to adult dancing events. This September The Oktoberfest will come to Cincinnati, the fountain and the downtown area will be filled with people as far as the eye can see! Recently we had a tragic event happened near the square, but as you can see, people came out in full force to participate in a Memorial to pay respect to those we lost. Ever since I can remember the Fountain Square has been a hub of great activity! From the Reds Opening Day toThe Bengals First Kick Off! From the P&G Music fest to Oktoberfest and Taste of Cincinnati. The Fountain Square represents our city well! If you ever have the time to come to Cincinnati, Ohio be sure to stop at the fountain take a picture and share with the world!

  • I love Fountain Square. It's the heart of Cincinnati and beautiful at night. So many events and great experiences there during the day and at night. Love it. Also they have the best competitive parking prices for downtown during regular and event parking!

  • Of course the best part of Fountain Square is the fountain. The Fountain at night lights up different colors. The area minus the Fountain kinda reminds me of the sitting area in Times Square in NYC. It's a nice to just sit or eat some food and enjoy the concerts they have on the weekends.

  • Fountain Square is the center of downtown Cincinnati.Lots of events at noon and in the evening. If you are staying downtown you can't miss it. If you are staying else where you should find out what is happening there. Lots of good restaurants and bars nearby. It maybe worth the trip. Convenient parking under the square. Go and Enjoy.

  • If you are in the Cincinnati area or going to a football, baseball or other event. Fountain square is a great place to visit. There is also a few places to eat that are unique and not national chains. There was also a nice big Graters ice cream shop. This is in walking distance from baseball stadium.
