Monumento al Justiciazgo is a lovely monument located in the Plaza Aragon area of Zaragoza and considered to be a great attraction among tourists. It is a resultant of a collab happened between Felix Navarro and Francisco Vidal, both were great architects and sculptors in their own right. The subject has clear precedents in the painting of history of artists such as Lopez del Plano and more. It was inaugurated in the year 1904 after almost six years when the idea was first conceived. The seated statue represents the last Justice, Juan de Lanuza and the column symbolizes the strength of a lost Aragonese institution, which was claimed in the 19th century and does not recover until 1987.About 16 meters long in height, the bronze made statue is literally one of the must see things ins Zaragoza, especially for those who are interested into city’s art and history. The statue is matter of pride for the natives.
